Community Outreach

Over the summer, Harrisonburg Rescue Squad has had lots of visitors.  Local day cares have visited the station to learn about safety and everything that happens at the rescue squad.  The kids got to explore the station, learn about equipment on the ambulances, ask questions, tell stories, and practice some basic safety skills.

In August, HRS will be attending the National Night Out event in Harrisonburg.  We had a blast last year, teaching children and their parents about emergency medical services.  National Night Out bring the community together for an evening of food, music, and fellowship.  This year Bob Goodlatte will be the guest speaker.  Plus, there will be live music, face painting, and other fun activities for families.  Come see us on August 7.
